The actual Cicada is getting nowhere threatening the tied up Joe, who steadfastly refuses to be the bait to lure Vibe. Undeterred, Nora wants to throw Earth-1 Hersch in the Pipeline until he talks, and when Barry says absolutely not, she speeds off in a huff. So what’s different on Earth-1? Maybe Nora messing with the timeline, Iris opines. Sherloque explains that the reason he was so sure Cicada was Hersch is that he’s already caught Cicada on 37 other Earths, and it was always Hersch every time. They find what appears to be a suicide note, which just deepens the mystery surrounding her dad. Meanwhile, in the show’s other plot, Caitlin and Ralph return to and break into her mom’s office at night. We see he’s right soon enough as Cicada confronts Joe looking for Vibe, and when Joe won’t call the hero, Cicada knocks him out, or so it would seem. He’s not sure Hersch is the right guy, despite the fact that he’s Cicada in the comics.

He’s not working for free, though, and while Team Flash agrees to pay his fee, Sherloque and Ralph don’t exactly hit it off. Sherloque, as it’s actually spelled, seems like he’s the real deal, and in a pretty funny sequence, he proves a quick study and very observant, uncovering some details we didn’t even know (Iris has a tattoo she covered up from a former lover?).

Meanwhile, Nora’s plan involves using a Harrison Wells to catch Cicada - but which one? They first try the German Wells from the Council of Harrisons, and even though Cisco isn’t fond of the idea, he turns out to be both nice and helpful, suggesting another Wells to assist. In the present, she has bad news: Flash never caught him. Nora says there was a part of the museum that always scared her, and naturally, it was about Cicada.
